If you are missing all of the teeth on one or both arches,or have teeth that can not be saved, you may be a candidate for All-on-4/ Full arch treatment. This procedure uses a specialized method to restore a full arch of teeth using dental implants for support.
The All-on-4 technique involves placing a minimum of four implants into the jawbone—two anterior implants are placed vertically and two specially-designed posterior implants are placed at an angle to take advantage of existing bone density. This allows a fixed prosthesis to be held in place more securely than a traditional denture, using fewer implants than other full arch restorations.
Because of the unique method involved in the All-on-4 treatment, patients may be candidates even if they have experienced bone loss in the jaw that prevents them from getting other types of dental implant restorations. You may not even need to have bone grafting prior to an All-on-4 procedure.
Patients who go from traditional dentures to All-on-4 dental implants find that their new restoration is much more comfortable than dentures. There’s no rocking, slipping, or gum irritation, and instead of using denture adhesive to affix your dentures to your gums each morning, you’ll have a permanently attached restoration. You’ll feel more confident when you smile, speak, and laugh—and you’ll never have to worry about taking a bite into an apple or corn-on-the-cob ever again.
The other benefit of the All-on-4 technique is that it can often be completed in a single office visit. Dr. Quinta works hand-in-hand with restorative doctors and a skilled dental laboratory to help patients leave our office with a same-day smile that looks and functions just like their natural teeth.
